Willie Wallace

Willie Lee Wallace was born on February 19, 1955.  He was the 5th of 7 children born to the late Charlie and Mattie Wallace in Dallas, Texas.

Willie graduated from H Grady Spruce High School in Dallas, TX. He graduated with a BS degree from Dallas Baptist College in Dallas where he played College basketball. He worked at Zepp Chemical Company upon graduation from Dallas Baptist. Willie was an entrepreneur at heart and went into business for himself selling cleaning supplies to various business offices in the Dallas metroplex, as well as opening a hotel and restaurant in Miami, Florida.

Willie entered into eternal life on July 09, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Bates Wallace and Charlie F. Wallace; and siblings Frank L. Wallace, Robbie J. Wallace, and Ophelia L. Paul; and his son, Yedidiah Sherrod.

He leaves cherished memories in the hearts of his children and their mothers: Adoniyah Knockee, Shem Sherrod, Isaiah Sherrod, Nathanael Sherrod, Abigail Sherrod and mother, Bathsheba Knockee as well as Daniel Armwood, Rachel Armwood, Hananiah Armwood, Othniel Armwood, Naomi Armwood and mother, Patricia Frazier. His siblings, Annie Wallace Proctor, Etta Wallace Dean, and Charlie L. Wallace; sisters-in-laws, Ruth Wallace and Juanda Keeling Wallace; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and grandchildren in addition to a host of other relatives and friends.
