Precious Memories

On December 19, 1963, in Oakland, California, a son was born to Treen H. Green and Octavia L. Green. Treen was the 2nd of 3 boys born to this union.

The family moved to Dickinson, Texas, while the boys were still young.

Treen attended school in the Dickinson Independent School District.  Treen known as “Gator or T-Jr.” excelled in basketball. 

After graduation, Gator attended Prairie View A&M University and later Paul Quinn in Dallas, Texas.  Later, he attended and graduated from Texas State Institute of Technology where he received his certification as a diesel technician.

Early in life Treen united with St James African American Church of Dickinson. Recently Treen rededicated his life to Christ and joined and was baptized at the Christ Greater New Light Missionary Baptist Church, in Hitchcock, by the Reverand Thaddeus J. Brown.

On Sunday, October 6, 2024, he departed life at the age of 60.  He is preceded in death by his father Treen Hedge Green, mother Octavia Louise Green and older brother Leon Fisher Green.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Sharunda Roberson of Dickinson, and Patrice Flowers of Houston: brother, Anthony (Tanya) Green of Dickinson. Remembering their grandpa is Dyelan Thompson, and sisters Shariah Roberson and Sayuri Diamond. Treen also will be leaving everlasting memories with numerous family and friends.
