Sherry Ann Black Obituary

The Walk of Life A Spirit of Strength and Grace Sherry Ann Black was a woman of profound strength, a true fighter who met life’s challenges with an unyielding spirit and an enduring smile. Her journey was not one defined by an easy path, but rather by the grace, courage, and determination she found to overcome every obstacle in her way. A True Fighter Throughout her life, Sherry faced deep personal battles and private struggles, including a courageous fight against addiction. Where others might have given up, Sherry fought back. She walked through the storm and emerged into the light, victorious. Her journey of recovery and renewal stands as a powerful testament to her resilience, her absolute bravery, and her desire to build a better tomorrow. She taught us all that our past does not define us—it is the strength with which we rise that truly matters. A Life of Hard Work and Joy Sherry was never afraid of hard work. Day after day, she dedicated herself to providing, building, and moving forward with an unwavering work ethic. Yet, despite the heavy loads she carried and the battles she won, what we will remember most is her joy. She made the conscious choice to keep a radiant smile on her face. Her laughter was a gift, and her warmth was a sanctuary for her family, especially the younger generations who looked up to her. Preceded in Death Sherry was welcomed into eternal rest by her beloved parents Loveless C. Premo and Louise Marie Premo as well as her dear siblings, Lavoy Hudson, Anthony Wayne Premo, Agnes Marie Premo, and Kerrie Deshawn Premo, and her baby boy Dejon Black who all wrapped her in everlasting peace. Her Enduring Legacy Sherry’s walk of life reminds us what it means to be genuinely strong. She leaves behind a legacy of survival, perseverance, and unconditional love that will forever be carried forward by her devoted sibling, Sessalie Patrice Premo Shannon her beloved children, Damon Black (Nichole Black), Deatrick Black, Dustin Black, and Dyontre Black; and her cherished grandchildren, Daija, Daijon, Dalicia, Dayana, Denessa, Damiyah and her great grandchild Dezrick . In keeping with a beautiful tradition close to her heart, Sherry shared a special bond with her family through her love of the letter 'D', a unique naming legacy that unites her generations. Together, they stand as the true reflection of her enduring spirit and her beautiful smile. She fought the good fight, she finished her race, and her victory is won. We love you, Sherry. Your victory is won, and your memory will forever be our blessing.
