Shane'ka Inez Merida Cole was born to Mildred Inez Cole and Bobbie Merida on September 25, 1981, in Galveston, TX.  She was educated in the Texas City school district and received her CNA at College of the Mainland. Shaneka Cole was employed with several Home Health companies until her illness. 

     She departed this life on August 24, 2025, at UTMB in League City, TX. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Inez Cole; adopted father, Anthony Worm; grandparents, Brenda Randle Marshall and William Cole; great-uncle, Otis Randle "Bubba"; aunt, Tina Cole; and favorite cousins, Richard Shaw "Bubba Black" and Stephen Edwards.

     Shaneka Cole leaves cherished memories with her six children, Davonne Cole, Jordan Cole (Alexis Ruiz), Mariah Ruiz, Nigel Green, Terry Webb, Stor'me Smith; and granddaughter, Camila Cole; sisters, Amanda Ervin, Lacey Ervin (Charles Ervin); nieces & nephews, Josie Ervin, Lacey Ervin, Naleeya Ervin, and Queston Ervin; great aunt & uncle, Shelia Edwards (Cleveland Edwards); aunts and uncles, Jacqualine Cole, Regina Cole, Shenette Marshall Heard, Timothy Cole, Ellis Marshall and Ondray Marshall; best friends, Terry Webb, Sr. and Andrea Ozuna along with a host of family and friends.
