Ronald Glen Cotton, Sr. Obituary

Ronald was born to Delvieta Cotton and Whitney J. Prevost on October 16, 1961. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and worked for many years at Aimm Technologies. He was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Johnson.

He made his transition from this earth on December 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable stories.

To his grandchildren, he was “Pawpaw” and the legendary “Big Kahuna.” To family and friends, he was affectionately known as “Red Rooster.” He was truly the life of the party—sharp-witted, outspoken, and endlessly entertaining. He could make you laugh until your sides hurt, then in the very same breath tell you he loved you… while cussing you out just a little. Wherever he was, there was laughter, noise, and love.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Delvieta Cotton and Whitney J. Prevost; his brother, Donald Linscomb; and his beloved son, Ronald Glenn Cotton Jr. (“Poopa”).

He leaves cherished memories to his wife, Pamela Cotton and his children; Rhonda Hart (Lynell), Ronnetta McNair (Corey), Charlotte Martin, Daughter in law Kelly Cotton, and Christus Yell.

His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren: Treasure, De’Asia, Ma’Ryia, Taylor, Malachi, Malcolm, Laila , and Christus Jr., along with seven great-grandchildren who brought him immeasurable pride.

He is also survived by his siblings: Ray Walker; Pamela Walker Woods; Edward “Dwayne” Cotton (Pamela); and Dora Linscomb King (Larry “Lo”); good friend David Williams, as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ronald lived life on his own terms. He lived boldly, loved deeply, and left laughter everywhere he went.
