I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. ~ II Timothy 4:7-8

 

Pat's Story

 

     Patricia A. Miller called "Pat" by family and friends. She was the fourth child out of five to Julius C. Simpson, Sr. and Rose Williams Simpson on January 15, 1657. She accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Barbours’ Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend J. H. Scott.

     Pat attended public school and graduated from La Marque High School Class of 1975. She attended College of the Mainland where she received her Associate Degree in ChiIdhood Development.

     Pat was married to Ed Millar In 1981 for 30 years in the city of Galveston, TX until he was called home.  She departed her earthly Iife to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

     Pat had a passion for caring for children especially toddlers end loved guiding them in their early education and development. Being near beaches and water made her happy and was her peaceful place. She had a love for music with some of her favorites including, Whitney Houston, Betty Wright, Luther Vandross, and Barry White.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, Julius C. Slmpson, Sr. and Rose WiIliams Simpson and brother, Curtis L. Simpson, Sr.

     Pat leaves to cherish one daughter, L. Deanna Simpson; grandson, LaVale D. Simpson; brothers, Julius C. Simpson, Jr. (Rudene) Shreveport, LA; Ronnie Simpson (Earnestine) ChanneIview, TX: sisters, Judy A. Simpson Johnson (RonaId) La Marque, TX; and Victoria L. Wiltz (Gerome) Houston, TX; aunt, Estella Mae Lockett (Jim) Dallas, TX along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
