Nakia Nicole Kelly was born on July 26, 2001, in Monroe, Louisiana, to her loving parents, Cathern and Donald Kelley. She was the oldest of two daughters and the fifth of ten children, embracing her role in a large and loving family with warmth, laughter, and an unforgettable spirit.
Nakia received her education in the Delhi school system and proudly graduated from Delhi High School with the Class of 2020. She possessed a vibrant personality that could brighten any room. Known for her bubbly, goofy nature and infectious smile, Nakia had a way of making others laugh and feel loved. Her joyful spirit and genuine heart made her someone people naturally gravitated toward.
Above all, Nakia treasured her family. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three beloved children: Ramani, Ski`Lar, and her baby boy, Niko. They were the center of her world, and she poured her heart into loving and caring for them. Whether enjoying a trip to McDonald's with her children, spending time together, or creating cherished memories, Nakia found her greatest happiness in motherhood.
Nakia loved to shop, laugh, and enjoy life to the fullest. She was often the life of the party at family gatherings, bringing smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments wherever she went. Nakia enjoyed hanging out, listening to music, family gatherings, clothes, and shoes. Her vibrant energy and loving personality will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents and her brother, Jaynorris Kelley.
Nakia leaves to cherish her precious memories her three children, Ramani Johnson and her father Mack Johnson, Ski`Lar Lartigue and her father Terrance Lartigue, and Niko Jones and his father Phillip Jones; her devoted father and mother, Donald and Cathern Kelley; her siblings, with whom she shared a special bond Quantarius, Terrance, Tarmarqus, Darrius, Donald,II, Amesha Omarrion, Kvon, Daijon, Shamayah, Donald,III, Jaylon, and Dalzavion; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, and countless friends whose lives she touched.
She also leaves behind special friends who held a special place in her heart: LaCosta, Jordan, Paige, and Charles, along with many others who will forever cherish the love, laughter, and beautiful memories they shared with her.
Though her time on earth was far too brief, Nakia's beautiful smile, kind heart, and loving spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to her children will never be forgotten.
