Michelle (Little) Marshall Obituary
Michelle Little Marshall was born on February 2, 1961, in Galveston, to Webster “Buddy” Little and Louria Marie Dandridge Little. She was the only child born to this loving union and was cherished deeply by her parents.
At an early age, Michelle accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and worshiped alongside her mother at Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Johnson. Her faith remained an important foundation throughout her life.
Michelle was educated in the Galveston Independent School District and graduated from Ball High School with the Class of 1979. She furthered her education at The University of Texas at Austin. Michelle made her home in Austin for several years before returning to Galveston.
Michelle dedicated many years of service to the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), where she worked in Library Systems and later as a Patient Access Specialist with UTMB Health. She retired faithfully after years of committed service.
Michelle had a love for family and friends and treasured the time spent with those closest to her. On Saturday nights, Michelle, her parents, and her god sister would enjoy making a picnic on the floor and watching (yelling) at the wrestlers with WWE and WWF on the television and debating the match with her grandmother over the phone. Growing up, she and her friends were inseparable, often bringing her god-sister along on their many adventures. They enjoyed attending concerts and experiencing exciting entertainment together. She shared a special bond with her Aunt Carolyn, who was close in age; the two loved traveling to casinos and enjoying outings together.
Michelle was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, loved Mexican food, and had a special fondness for the color purple. She was known for her soft, high-pitched voice, her beautiful smile, and her kind and gentle heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Webster “Buddy” Little and Louria Marie Dandridge Little; her grandmother, Percy Marie Brooks; and her aunts, Gwendolyn Brooks Perry, Carolyn Roberts, and Barbara Brooks.
Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her uncles, cousins, her god-sister, and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Michelle will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
