Margaret Young Taylor was born on June 18, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Ora Lee Bailey & Lincoln Young.
Margaret Young Taylor moved to Texas City in 1981 where she met and married her beloved husband James Taylor in 1983. She stayed faithfully by his side until his earthly departure. Margaret enjoyed fishing and cooking for her family, especially around the holidays making sure everyone had their favorite dish. She obtained an associate's degree in cosmetology and loved doing hair. She also worked at a nursing home, Kroger, and was a bus driver for both TCISD and DISD before retiring to care for her husband. She was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in where she served on the Usher Board, sang in the choir, and was a part of the mission auxiliary and kitchen committee.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Taylor, brothers, Milton, Lincoln, and Johnny Young.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Roseavilla (Perry) Johnson, Tawayna (Berry) Wright, Yotoshia (Robert) Bellow, son, George Young, sister, Rosa Phillips, brother, Leonard Barfield, grand and great-grandchildren, the Taylor family as well as a host of other family members, loved ones and friends. Margaret will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
