Linda was born in Darnell, Louisiana, to Kenneth Johnson and Ruthie M. Hale (Hillard). She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Grady and Lue R. Williams; her two sisters, Angela Hale and Betty Hale-Fowler; and her nephew, Michael L. Hale.

     Linda leaves to cherish her loving memory of her wonderful daughter, Felecia Smith (Murphy), and her devoted son, Lee O. Clark, Jr. (Tameeka). She was a proud and loving grandmother to four grandsons: Kenshay M. Clark (Deanna), Derrick Middleton, Donald W. Williams, Jr., and Maleek Clark. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Kori and Kirby Clark, Murphy J. Smith, D'Lana Middleton, Nujah Middleton, and Carmelo Middleton.

     In the late 1970s, Linda moved to Texas City, Texas, determined to build a better Life for herself and her children. She began a long and dedicated career in the refinery industry, working at Union Carbide for 25 years. After retiring from Union Carbide, she continued working in security until her final retirement in 2018. Linda also worked part-time at Randalls for 10 years. Her strong work ethic, resilience, and commitment to providing for her family was evident throughout her life.

     She is survived by her three brothers: Jimmy Hale (Patty), Billy Hale, and Hillard Hale (Wyonna), along with a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her best friend and sister of more than 40 years, Bonnie Delaney, whose bond with Linda was truly special.
