Joycelyn Marie Chandler "Bookie"

     On Monday, June 26, 2023 our beloved mother, sister, and grandmother passed away at the age of 65. She was a graduate of La Marque High School class of 1976.

     Joycelyn is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Chandler, father, George Howard,  godsister, Tanya Smith, and brothers, Alfred Ray, and Elijah Howard.

     Joycelyn is survived by her children, Ashland Ray, Brandon Ray, Whittney Ray Cohen (Frank), Nathaniel Ray Jr.; sisters, Debra Chandler, Sharon Howard, Renita Mixson, Jannell Robinson (Otis), Traina  Howard-Davis (Mike), Linda Francis, Delphine Ray, Janitra Ray, Sakeena Garrett (Brent), Bakira Howard; brothers, Frank Ray, and George Howard Jr.; aunt, Mae Pearl Jones; seven grandchildren, Brandon Bernard Ray Jr., Nathalia Marie Cohen, Athan Paul Frank Cohen, Nathan Aries Frank Cohen, Levi Elijah Cohen, Francesca Joyelle Cohen, Frank Nathaniel Lawrence Cohen, III; a host of nieces and nephews; relatives and friends.
