Jonathan Wayne Thompson, 50, passed away on April 25, 2026. He was a helpful, kind, and caring man whose warm smile and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him.
Jonathan was a devoted father to Jonnae Thompson, affectionately known as “Naenae,” and a loving stepfather to Trinity (“Trin”) and Tristian (“Trist”). He shared a close bond with the mother of his children, Nishira Feast, also known as “Nikki.” He was the beloved son of Delores Fay McKenzie Thompson and Willard Thompson Sr., both of whom preceded him in death. He was also in a committed common-law relationship with Meme Crowder.
Jonathan was a caring brother to Willard Thompson Jr. (Merline C. Thompson) and Tiffany Thompson Diggs. He was a cherished nephew to Arthur McKenzie Sr. (Bertha), George McKenzie Sr., Thearthur McKenzie (Linda), Jeff McKenzie (Beatrice), and Eva McKenzie Davis. He was also a dear uncle to Christopher Smith, Randolph Scott Diggs, Randolph Shadrick Diggs, Randolph Spencer Diggs, Malinovsky Cadet, Diana Museau, and Cesar Lisma Delvra.
Jonathan attended La Marque ISD and worked in sanitation for Harris County, as well as for AT&T. He had a passion for cooking and was known as a great cook who loved bringing people together through food.
At an early age, Jonathan came to know Christ and attended Greater Bell Zion Baptist Church for many years.
Jonathan will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, kindness, and the joy he brought into the lives of others.
