John Floyd Carrier passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the age of 71.  A mass and burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Monsignor James Anderson.  Burial will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park. At the request of the family, visitation will be held at the church the same day from 9 am until time of service at 11 am, with a rosary at 9:30 am to 10 am.

     Floyd is survived by his wife, Linda Marie Guillory Carrier; His sons John Floyd Carrier Jr. (Rachelle), Derrick Marlon Carrier (Cynthia), his daughter Ashlie Marie Anthony (Izariah); 4 grandchildren, Quintin Jordan Carrier, Allyssa Raejean Carrier, Andre Landry, Simeon Royal Carrier; 1 great grandchild, Semaj Jordan Carrier; siblings, 2 brothers Eugene Carriere, and Joseph Norman Carriere; 3 sisters Theresa Ardoin, Ellena Ester, Mary Margaret Guillory, and a host of nieces and nephews.

      Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis Carriere and Elizabeth Carriere. Grandparents, William Charlot, and Eleanor Semien Charlot.
