It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glendora Patricia (Lewis) Archibald, who departed this life on March 4, 2025. Born on June 12, 1961, in the Parish of Trinity on the island of St. Christopher, Glendora was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

     She was the cherished daughter of the late George & Margret Lewis and grew up surrounded by a loving family. She is survived by her siblings: Vernon McMillion Walters (Monroeville), Emelza Kathleen Walters (St. Thomas), Wilfred Lawson (Florida), Hyacinth Lewis-Wheeler (Pittsburgh), Devery Lewis (New York), Glen Lewis (Tennessee), Sandra Lewis (St. Kitts), and Leroy "Doc" Lewis (London). She is preceded in death by her brother, Kalvin Lewis.

     Glendora’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to Beavon (Chanel) John, Shawn Archibald, and Angel Archibald, as well as a loving bonus mother to Madison Woods. Her legacy of love continues through her precious grandchildren, Michael John and Madison Spells, along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

     For over 20 years, Glendora dedicated her career to The Foundation for Hope Village, where she was a beacon of compassion and kindness. Her unwavering commitment to serving others left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the community she cherished. In her final days, she was lovingly cared for by her dear friend and coworker, Joanne Jagroo, whose kindness and devotion brought comfort and peace.

     Glendora was a woman of strength, grace, and generosity. She found joy in the simple moments—laughing with family, lending a helping hand, and sharing wisdom gained from a life well-lived. Her warmth and unwavering faith touched the hearts of all who knew her.

     Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will forever live on in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

     A celebration of Glendora’s life will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at A Psalm of Life, located at 1117 Bayou Rd., La Marque, TX 77568. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
