Glenda Darnell Hanks, age 67, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 6, 1957, in Galveston, Texas, Glenda graduated from Ball High School in 1975 before pursuing a career in the mortuary field. Known for her warm smile and infectious laughter, Glenda cherished time spent with her loved ones. She had a passion for travel and a knack for making others smile with her witty jokes. In her quieter moments, Glenda found solace in playing her favorite game, "Candy Crush."

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Foster Murphy Sr. and Dorothy Murphy, and her siblings, Curtis, Foster Jr., Stephanie, Tangie, her children; Broderick and Summer.

She leaves behind her children; Alkisha, Ransom (Letisha), Megan, and Maddison; her siblings, Steve, Kevin, Terry, and Melody; her grandchildren, Terrilynn, Amber, Makayla, Jemire, K'acesyn, Kai'lyn, Rome, Rodray, Tahliah, and Ayaliah; her great-grandchildren, Julius, Aubre, Austin, Arianna; And Her Aunt Melvia; and a host of nieces, nephews and Cousins.
 

Glenda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
