Gaston Earl Scranton of Texas City, TX was born April 6, 1947 in Galveston, TX to Gaston and Raymon Finley Scranton. He was raised in the Texas City- La Marque Community by his mother and Mr. Raymond Lovings. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965 and worked as a Janitorial Custodian for most of his life.
He enjoyed all sports especially football and just plain old fishing. Relaxing and being around family and friends satisfied him just perfectly. He lived in Houston for a period of time and on May 23, 2024, after many health challenges, he laid down his fishing rod and received the call of the Lord to his eternal home.
He is preceded in death by his parents and many other family members.
Remaining to cherish his memories are his loving Bonus Father, Raymond Lovings; sisters, Effie Smith and Betty Gaines; A God Son, Aaron “BUM” Chambers; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
