Frank Wayne Long Obituary
A Celebration of Love
Frank Wayne Long (Budwine) was born on December 2, 1955, in Galveston, Texas to Frank Budwine and Ruby Long (Budwine). Wayne was the middle child of 5 children.
Frank (Wayne) attended Texas City High School where he played drums in the school band.
Frank remained in Texas City as a part of loving this community. He was married to Edna LaDay (Long) where they had two sons and one daughter.
After high school, he started work as a certified painter with the Painter’s Union in Galveston County. After retiring from the painters’ union, he began his own lawn business, Long Lawn Service. He also became a caretaker for those that he could help.
He also loved the lord with his whole heart. He was a peaceful, kind, and gentle man. A man of few words. He had a heart of gold, if he could help you he would. He was a great person; a man of God and he was a breath of fresh air and always positive.
Not having much to say or complain, he continued to service the community with his lawn service and giving back the way he knew how.
Keeping the faith through his health issues. Frank (Netty) as many would say smiled and moved forward in life.
Frank Wayne is preceded in heaven by his parents (Frank Budwine), (Ruby Long-Budwine), and Marvin (Sunny) Budwine his younger brother.
Frank Wayne leaves behind his wife: Edna LaDay-Long, children: Shalesha Johnson (Jermain) - Texas City, TX, Harrachio Fletcher (Cassandra) - Houston, TX, Michelle Henderson, Joshua Long, Robert Wayne Long, and Aschel McCain all of Texas City, TX.
