Eugene "Diamond" Boone, Jr.

     Eugene was born in Galveston on November 2, 1948 to the union of   Eugene Boone, Sr. and Dorthy Fincher Boone.   He was affectionately called “Diamond” by all who knew him.

     Eugene was educated in Galveston Public Schools, graduating from Central High School Class of 1967.  He was an avid tennis player and played in high school and college.  After graduation, he attended the University of Houston and graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1972.

     Eugene worked and retired from Sears as an Account Manager. He held several jobs after his retirement such as security guard and an auto detailer. “Diamond” loved sports and politics, especially tennis, shooting pool, and the Dallas Cowboys.

     Eugene gained his heavenly reward on September 15, 2023.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene, Sr. and Dorthy Boone; sister, Willie Belle Copeland; brother, Chester “Felix” Boone; Niece, Gwendolyn Freeman; and nephew, George Williams, Jr.

     Eugene leaves cherished memories in the hearts of his sister, Norma Caligone; brother, George Williams, Sr.; bonus daughter and granddaughter: Curtisha Jones & Cur’Mauri Oliver; 11 loving nieces; 2 nephews.
