Eddie Ray Epperson Obituary

Eddie Ray Epperson was born July 21, 1951 in Jefferson, Texas to Mattie Ross Epperson and Clifford Epperson Sr.  After the family later settled in Texas City, he enlisted into the United States Army where he was honorably discharged. He was baptized under the late F. M. Johnson and worshipped at various churches within the community.

Eddie Ray, known for his smile, quiet spirit, and generous heart, never met a stranger. He loved his family and lived life to the fullest.

He was preceded by his father, Clifford Epperson Sr and his sister, Mary “Maye” Epperson Johnson.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother: Mattie Epperson Craddock, son: Daltha Terrell; stepsons:  Lamonds Carthorne and Antonio Carthorne; brother Clifford Epperson, Jr. (Joy); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
