Denise Rachelle Bell Obituary

Denise Rachell Bell, the precious baby girl, was born to Howard and Barbara Bell on September 28, 1985, at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. From a young age, Denise embodied her independence, humor, and unique personality, inspiring those around her. Denise spent her childhood growing up in Hitchcock, Texas, where she was nurtured in a loving Christian home. At a tender age, Denise accepted God as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she actively participated in church activities, including the choir, drill team, and Saturday morning youth group. Denise's passion for serving others led her to be an active member of her church and community, excelling in cheerleading, the school's childcare program, track and color guard. Denise's vibrant personality and infectious smile made her a beloved social butterfly, drawing people to her warmth and kindness. Her loyalty and dedication to her friends, affectionately known as the "pretty gang," were truly admirable. Denise graduated from Hitchcock High School in 2004, and later, she achieved outstanding academic success, graduating at the top of her class with a medical assistance certification. Denise's remarkable journey led her to work at UTMB as a pediatric medical assistant, where she was cherished by her colleagues and doctors alike. Denise loved God, her family and her children, who brought immense joy to her world. Her love for children was boundless, embracing not only her own but also children everywhere. As a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, her presence was a blessing to all. On April 28, 2025, Denise Bell was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, a celestial reunion that brought her eternal peace. She is preceded in death by her grandparents (Maternal)Clara Shannon and Alfred Shannon SR,(Paternal)Bessie Bell and Hardy Bell SR; her nephew Aiden Bell; her aunt Odeal Pate, her uncles Timothy Shannon and Anthony Shannon SR; and her first cousins Leilani Bell, Anthony Shannon Jr. and Eric Fields. Yet, her legacy of love will forever reside in the hearts of her beloved family, children Marquis Johnson, Sa’Mayia Lowe, Kaison Harris and Korion Harris; her siblings LaQuitha Johnson (Morlon), Howard Bell JR (Darmika) and Patrice Bell; her nieces McKenzie, Janiya and Ja’Elle; her nephews Marcus, Malik, Jevon, Jaydn, Zecharyah, and Jace; aunts, uncles, countless cousins, and inspiring generations to come.
