“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
Mr. Damon Undra Burnett, affectionately known as “Big Dame,” was born on January 23, 1967, in Galveston, Texas to Mrs. Jeanette L. Burnett and the late Mr. Robert Lee Burnett Sr. Damon was raised in Hitchcock, Texas where he attended the Hitchcock Independent School District. Damon was a man of remarkable intelligence, unwavering strength, and quiet humility. Damon believed in the value of hard work and he approached every challenge with dedication and integrity. Above all else, Damon loved his family and he was always willing to lend a helping hand for those in need. His generous spirit and compassionate heart made him someone people could always depend on. Known for his gentle nature and genuine kindness, Damon had one of the most sweetest and purest souls. His life was a reflection of love, humility, and selfless service. One of Damon’s greatest passions was Parks and Recreation; he truly loved working outdoors.
