Cleo Patricia Washington was born April 4, 1948, to the late Roosevelt and Dorothy Mason in Doucette, TX. During her early childhood, her family moved to Galveston, TX, where she raised her children and became a longtime resident.

     Cleo accepted Christ at a young age and later in life became a member of The Rebirth Temple where she served under the leadership of her pastor, Dr. Herbert Payne.  Cleo attended Galveston’s public schools. She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling abroad to various destinations throughout the years.

     Cleo is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Rose Cadet, Margaret Mason, Ivory Anderson, Roosevelt Smith, Raymond Mason, Glenn Mason, and Dietrick Simmons.

     Cleo leaves cherished memories with her children, Bobbie Lane (Renita), Berwick Parker, and Joshua Lane, Sr.; grandchildren, Tiffany Routt, Bobby Smith, Donisha Lane, Byniecia Lane, Alana Lana, Joshua Lane, Jr., and Trellius Lane; great-grandchildren; siblings, Carl Mason, Sr., Hazel Mason, and Sarah Mays, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
