Carlton Wade Obituary

All things must come to an end…

On June 14, 1952, in Galveston County, TX Carlton Wade was born to Clifton Wade and Josie Matthews Wade. He attended the local schools Booker T. Washington and graduated from Texas City High School. Following high school, he attended College of the Mainland.  Retired from The City of Texas City after 30 years of service.

Carlton was a great friend and made himself available to assist his family and friends when he was needed. He was quiet but attentive to the things that were of his concern.  He enjoyed the times he spent with friends and family at local gatherings, and his presence is going to be greatly missed. He was baptized in First Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. F.M. Johnson. His membership remained there until his death.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, as Carlton passed over into his heavenly home he was united with his parents; brother, Clifton Wayne Wade; his love, Linda Hudgins and many other family members and friends.  He is survived by his son, Catarrean Christopher Wade; sister, Norma Jean Britton; brother, Emory “ET” Thomas; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  There are some precious and special people that shared in Carlton’s Life:  Wilbur Jean Lewis, Curtis Mayes and Bubba Hill.
