Calvin Skinner was born on November 22, 1939, to Bertha and Arthelus Skinner in Chataignier, Louisiana.

     Calvin Skinner was a faithful member of the New Life Church of Texas in Texas City, TX.  Calvin retired from Marathon Oil Refinery in Texas City, TX, and was the owner of Skinner
Trash Hauling.

     Calvin gained his wings on October 20, 2024, and is preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Arthelus Skinner; his son Kevin Skinner; siblings Alton Skinner, Frances
Skinner-Allen, Nancy Dixon, Louise Avie, Mildred Skinner-Mosley, and Linton Skinner; his grandson Lorenzo Young.

     His life memories will be cherished by his dedicated wife Essie Jewel Young-Skinner.  His brother Alvin Skinner. His children Andrew Young (Tamicia), Alonzo Young, Ray Skinner (Sharon), Kenneth Skinner (Charon), Michael Young, Merdice Young (Daryl), and Brenda Young-Randle (Willie C.). His grandchildren Deon Robinson (Brooke), Cheyenne Robinson (Aydrien), Raydonna Young, Daryll Young, Darneisha Young, Ashtiann Young, Daryn Young, Daryan Young, Michael Young Jr., and Chelsea Young. His great-grandchildren Austin Robinson, Levi Robinson, Bryce Robinson, Willie Birdsong IV, A.J. Robinson, Cameron Robinson, Kiersten Guillory, Kaison Guillory, Karson Guillory, Kayden Williams, Daryll Young Jr., Jackson Young, and Ali Young; A host of a loving brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
