Bobby Lorenzo Booker Obituary

 

     Bobby L. Booker a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He embodied a noble man of good character. Bobby was born September 15th, 1958, in Texas City, TX, to the late Robert Earl Booker and Ella Jordan Booker. He attended schools in the La Marque School District, graduating with the class of 1977.

     Bobby began his career working in the plants at Brown and Roots, and throughout the years, he worked at various plants as a local motor operator. He went back to school, receiving his petrochemical process technology degree at the age of 62 from College of the Mainland. He met his lovely wife Rita while attending college at LaMar University. They later married on April 30th, 1982, lasting until the Lord called Rita home.

     Bobby loved running and playing basketball, and above all, spending time with family. Bobby was and will forever be The Dallas Cowboys #1 fan, he even thought him and Jerry Jones were best friends. Bobby’s life was one of determination, perseverance, and devotion. Bobby worked hard, loved deeply, and stood firmly with his family. Later in life, Bobby dedicated his heart to Christ, and his faith became his guiding light in his later years. His walk of faith was a true testament to God's grace and redemption.

     On Friday, September 12th, 2025, Bobby L Booker transitioned from his early life to receive his eternal life’s reward. He is preceded in death by his wife Rita Booker; his parents Robert Earl Booker and Ella Jordan Booker, his Stepmother Joyce Marie Davis Booker, and his niece Kimberly Elizabeth Renee Burleson.

     He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength to his family, his children, Sheneice Brown (Eddie), Myles Booker, Quentin Booker; his siblings, Sandra Booker, LaTasha Smith, Sames Antoinette Smith, Wanda Bodden (Carl), Cassie Cains (Eric), Angela Burleson (Elgin), and Roger’s Davis. Bobby had two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
