Birdell “Birdie” Richardson Cambric, 73, of Texas City, TX passed away on October 26, 2024. Birdell was born on April 3, 1951, to Lillian & David Richardson in Galveston, TX.
After graduating from Ball High School in 1969, she went on to obtain her Cosmologist Certification at Galveston College.
In 1973, Birdie met Richard “KingSlim” Cambric while out with friends. Birdell and Richard shared 4 children, David Richardson (Ann), DeWayne Richardson (Carla), Ava Cambric (Timothy) & Samuel Cambric (Racheal).
In 1998 Birdie retired from TDCJ and spent her time loving on family, screaming Bingo, pressing buttons, but more importantly keeping her relationship with God intact.
Birdie is preceded in death by her spouse Richard Cambric, parents Lillian & David Richardson, her sisters Letha Williams, Orelia Johnson, Amelia Dickey, Diana Clay, Joanne Richardson, nephew Royse Clay, & stepdaughter Shelly Freeman.
She is survived by her children, stepdaughters (Katherine Crawford, Ruth Woodard, & Vivian Hayes), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Special friends Freida Harris, Sis Mason, & the Texas City Senior Center, and a host of many friends since she never met a stranger.
