Bill Irwin Williams Obituary

 

    On July 4, 1937, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, under British rule, a baby boy was born to Emelda Burton and Edmund Williams. Island life was full of enjoyment and precious memories.

     After High School, Bill worked for the local light company.  In 1966 Bill was recognized in the second class of Instructional Theory and Practical Work at Hackney Technical College for Electrical Installation Work Course B. In April of 1967, he completed a practical training and work that was approved by the Advisory Committee of the Electrical Contractors’ Association from City & amp; Guilds of London Institute. He worked for IBEW Union 716 and Brown and Root. He was recognized as a member of the Solvay Polymers (SAP) Project, Deer Park, Texas, in June of 1997. In the early 2000’s, Bill received his Journeyman Electrician License from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

     Before moving to Toronto, Bill married his first wife Lola Gilpin Williams, and added to this union two children, a son, Marc R. Williams, and a daughter, Karen D. Williams. They later moved from Canada to the United States of America where they resided in Miami, Florida.

     Bill moved from Miami to Texas where he met his second wife, Cathy S. Williams and in this union had one daughter, Brandi J. Williams.

     Bill later met his third wife, Shirley Neely Williams, who had three grown children to add to the union, Anntoinette Marie Boyd, Emanuel Bernard Neely, Jr., and Yvette L. Herron. Their union lasted twenty-five years until his untimely passing.

     Bill leaves loving memories in the hearts of his wife, Shirley; children, Marc, Karen, Brandi, Anntoinette (Samuel, Jr.) Boyd, Emanuel (Danica) Neely, Jr., and Yvette (Christopher) Herron. He also leaves fond memories with his grandchildren, Marc, Marcelo, Iyana, and Victoria, along with Samone, Sydnie, Zoe, Tre`, Zavier, Jordyn, Emanuel, III, and Emerson; siblings, Ashley, Lennox, John, Inky, Kenneth, Cooper, Yvette, Gae, Rodger, and Leslie amongst other siblings.  Bill leaves a host of other family and many friends.
