Andrew Lester Edison “SHOT” was born on January 1, 1952, to Arthur Q Edison and Eloise Ferguson Edison.  Andrew is the 2nd oldest of the five children, three boys and 2 girls.

     Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Sr, Eloise Edison, brother, Arthur Jr (Q baby), and great nephews, Noah and Alius “AJ”.

     Andrew graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970, the last class to march from the school.  He was baptized at an early age at Greater Bell Zion Baptist Church under the direction of late Reverend Wiley L. Dunn.  He worked for Dickinson Independent School District for several years and later La Marque Independent School District until his health failed.  Andrew’s passion was hunting is where you would find him when the season started.  He would always say “I’ll always have something to eat, I shoot for my food.”  Not a day went by that he did not call a family member or a friend. And would end his conversation with you know “I love ya.”

     On April 11, 2005, he married the love of his life, Annie L. Jackson and they enjoyed 20 years together.  Andrew had no children of his own, but he claimed all his nieces and nephews and many extended ones. He was constantly involved in their lives and gave them all nicknames, never calling them by their given names.

     A legacy of love, goodwill, and compassion will be forever cherished by devoted wife, Annie Jackson, brother: Anthony (Kathleen) Edison, 2 sisters: Alesia (Charles), and Annette Auzzene. Three Nephews: special hunting buddy -Derrick ”Potna” (Tiffany), Anthony “Junior”(Aileen), Adrian “Fattywack”. Six Nieces: Dwana “Donawon”(Rod), Tauronda “Lil Donawon”, Rhea “ReeRee”, Tiffany “FatJaws”(Kenneth), Brittnie ”Woman”, and Tomeka Brown. Host of great nieces and nephews: DeMarcus “Sam Cain”, Domanyque “Ms Thang”, Tieara” Willamena”, Cheron “Ms Eyes”, Derrick II “Little Potna”, Deriyaun “Little Momma”, Dailyn “Tiny Momma”, Sydney, Kelsci, Tia, Roman, Joshua, Alaysia, Aryah, Ashton, Taliyah, Malaya, Riley, Anthony II, Alayna, and Aydin “Juice”). Surviving uncles: Uncle Curt and Uncle Michael.  Close family friends Larry “Studdibaker” and Rita Stewart. A host of family and friends.
