Alton Louis Tatum

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord,  the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

     Alton Louis Tatum was born December 14, 1936, in Mexia, Texas, to the parentage of the Rev. Israelite and Josephine Tatum. He descended to his heavenly home on September 13, 2023.  Alton's career was a contractor.

     Alton leaves to cherish his memories, his sister, Hattie Ratcliff Denley; his brothers, Wilbert O’Daniel Tatum (Santana), and Vernon Tatum (Maybell) and a host of nephews, nieces, and other family members.

     Alton spent the last 11 years with his dearest Sister Hattie, who cared for him until he passed away.  Alton now joins his parents, his sisters Elizabeth Crosby, and Amelia Hickman; brothers, George Tatum and Rev. John Wesley Tatum.

     

     "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
